I. Am. Alive!

Yes, I am still here and breathing. Everything has been so crazy the last several months that blogging just didn't fall right on the top of my priority list. I've had a hard enough time keeping up with my hotmail, facebook, and MySpace let alone blogger. But since senior year is coming up, I am going to try to do better. My philosophy is that if I can stick to blogging with some regularity, I'll be able to better balance and stick to everything else going on in the next few years. I think. That's just what I'm telling myself at least.

So, as soon as I get home, I will be doing a few different posts that I've been thinking about for a while. We'll see how long I can stay caught up this time... Senior year is here! Life's about to get really interesting...

Mothers... oi

Well, I had something all ready to be posted, just hadn't had the time to put it up, and guess what? I came home from school today and my mother had posted exactly what i'd wanted to - the hilarious things morgan says... SOOO... since she included everything I was going to write, I'm just putting a link to her blog, so I'm not considered a copycat... thanks mom... my lil sis

So, to go along w/the theme of my baby sis, I thought I'd share this piece of flair...

Time Flies!

Wow, I can't believe it's been almost a full month since my last post. But, to be fair to myself, in that time we had Christmas, I got my wisdom teeth out, our computer crashed, and I had to go back to school so, I guess that gives me some leverage, right?

Not a whole lot is new, surprisingly. Between school, work, basketball games, and going out on the weekends, I keep myself fairly busy. So I decided that I would just post some of my favorite pictures of my family, just to share...

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

This morning, we woke up to a winter wonderland. Except, you don't really want a winter wonderland when you are 17 and need to go to work. At first, I thought it wouldn't be that bad... until I actually looked out the window.
This is the top six inches of our fence...everything else = buried...
White out conditions...

For someone who is not too fond of snow, I AM LIVING IN THE WRONG PLACE!!! Last year our house got completely buried in the snow several times, and this year is promising to be more of the same.
Fortunately, we have AWESOME neighbors who love us very much. One came with a 4-wheeler-snowplow, another came with an actual little truck-snowplow (seen below), and another had his massive loader to dig out a stuck car.

The finished product. It's snowed fairly consistently the entire day, but our driveway has stayed clean since our loving neighborhood dug us out. What you can't see is the six-foot tall mound of cleared snow to the right. At least we know that won't melt anytime soon!

Unfortunately, though, I did not make it into work. Maybe tomorrow, though...

Christmas - IT'S COMING!!!!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year! There's snow on the ground, lots of shopping to do, new Christmas cards coming every day in the mail, amazing smells coming from the kitchen - what more could you ask for?? For the first time, I actually knew what I wanted to get everyone for Christmas and am now totally done with my Christmas shopping!! If you know how much I procrastinate in EVERYTHING in my life, you know just how amazing this is for me. =D Morgan and Zane ask everynight as we're getting ready for bed if it's the night that Santa's coming. Only a few more days!!!

I AM ALIVE!!! ... and Basketball Season is HERE!!

Yeah, things have been just a little hectic lately. First finals, then Thanksgiving, and then a new trimester starting - all that doesn't leave much time to sit at the computer and blog! BUT... I have made time to go to both of the boys' basketball games so far. So allow me to sound like the crazy 17-year-old I am for a moment... :)

The first game was great - we won against Malad 43-37 or something like that. It was a great way to start the season. Then, last Friday we played Kimberly. Um, can you say INTENSE?!?! I about had a panic attack right there in the stands. We won in double overtime 56-53. Yeah. Anyone who has seen me cheer at a game knows how into it I can get. Let's just say - I was cheering very enthusiastically with that close of a game. And we got on the news. Cool cool!

The girls have done fairly well too, as far as I know. For some reason, I keep closer tabs on the boys' record than the girls'. But I think they've won half of their games so far, which is way good. Nice job guys!!!

wy skuul?

I'm totally kidding!!!! I think that the fact that i'm in this situation proves just how ... not-smart I am, though. At the end of last year, the school had us go through and register for all the classes we wanted/needed to take this year. As I've said before, I decided to take three Dual-Enrollment courses, along with Chemistry as my core classes this year. UNFORTUNATELY... the classes overlap really bad, and not only does taking so many of them limit my electives, it also prevents me from being able to take Seminary all three trimesters.

What does this mean? Well, pretty much, since all the classes overlap, I have a couple of holes in my new schedule (that starts next week), and a couple of classes that I'm enrolled in for the same hour. Not good. Also, I decided I wanted to find a way to fit Seminary in this trimester, so even though our lovely hardworking registrar and counselors have worked tirelessly to make my schedule fit together, now I've decided to try and get out of taking either Health or US History - which are both required.

In short - I tried to act like I was super-intelligent, and look where that got me!!! Nah, I'm just kidding. But seriously. Unless I want to take a class online on top of all my other school work, I'm looking at not having Seminary for the next three months - which means having to think hard, all day everyday. What to do, what to do...
